Máriagyűd

The twin-spired, baroque Roman Catholic pilgrimage church was built by the Franciscans in the 18th century. Apparitions of the Virgin Mary by the church began at the end of the 17th century. Since then the shrine has been considered to be a place of pilgrimage.
